What is BOTS RACE?
BOTS RACE is the ‘ultimate Battle of the Strait’ for adventure cyclists. It is a single stage ultra-distance cycling challenge that links the Strait of Gibraltar, starting and finishing in Tarifa, Spain.
Riders start on the Spanish section of the fixed route, proceed north in an anticlockwise loop, and later cross to the Rif via the Algeciras/Tangier ferry.
Fix route: South Spain & North Morocco.
Distance: 1,200km
Elevation: 27,000m
Time limit: 144 hrs
This challenging route showcases the best of both countries. The event is fully unsupported, and riders must complete the entire GPX route self-powered and without assistance, except in the case of pair riders.
